Sweet birdie nesting her babies

Here's a sweet bird nesting her unhatched eggs in the tree outside our back patio. Pretty soon we should hear the chirp of baby birds wanting to be fed. It would be pretty great if they hatched in time for Easter.

12 of 12 (3): March 2008

I totally spaced that it was the 12th today. This is what happens when everything you do at work is on the computer and you don't have to write the date down. So needless to say I didn't bring my camera around with me today and had to improvise when I realized it was the 12th at 6:45 tonight. Here are my pics of how my day was spent.

Oh, and credit to this fun concept (esp when you remember to bring your camera with you) goes to Chad Darnell, click on the title or click here to find out the details.

Our day started out going to AJ's for breakfast before heading into the office. (A sad napkin shot since I forgot to bring my camera with me)
The book that I started yesterday and am having a hard time putting down. (Baby Proof by Emily Giffin)

We watched one of my favorite game shows- Wheel of Fortune.

Pink easter basket grass and glitter egg coloring kit that we picked up this afternoon from Walmart.

Me laughing at something the LOML said to me.

The decorative easter eggs that I won at Steve and Pernilla's party last year.

A lovely Rochesters shopping bag shot. We stopped here to buy a new shirt for the LOML. He has a job interview tomorrow.

The LOML giving me a "huh" look.

We also watched Big Brother 9. It was eviction night and here is a shot of the houseguests competing for HOH (head of household).

The LOML smiling despite doing the horrible chore of ironing his shirt.

My niece Sophia drew this lovely picture of me on a post it that I have stuck to the kleenex box in the living room. At least I'm smiling be it a crooked one. : )

It's us...I needed a 12th photo. : )

A new Digi Layout for my niece

My latest digital layout in honor of my niece. I'm still playing with the free downloads from 2Peas in a Bucket. It's really been fun playing with the digital kits and figuring out Photoshop Elements. I need to eventually invest in the CSV version but for now I'm having fun with PSE.

Hanging with the niece & nephew

We spent this past Sunday with Sophia and Shane while mom and dad were whooping it up in Vegas. Here are some photos from our day. We got to do some pool time as the complex pool is heated and it was a lovely 70 degrees. The pool felt like bath water which was quite nice.

As you can see the LOML got to be the throw master and also got to be the jungle joe as the kids were hanging all over him. Needless to say he slept very well that night.

Our afternoon wouldn't be complete without a musical number from Miss Sophia. Here she is singing us a song using her High School Musical microphone. She's a natural performer.

Oh and she is a master tongue clicker which I happened to capture on video. I can't believe how loud she is able to click her tongue to the roof of her mouth. She tried to teach me but I was completely hopeless. You rock Miss Sophia!

My first digital layout

I've been inspired by my friend Amy to work on creating a digital scrapbook layout. I attempted a while back and got a bit frustrated but I finally took the time to play with my Photoshop and with a little help from the Two Peas in a Bucket website I managed to create my first layout. It's not awe inspiring layout but I'm pretty proud of it and it's of the LOML. : )

12 of 12 (3): February 2008

Here's the monthly sneek peek into my day...Happy 12 of 12! (concept by Chad Darnell)

6:45am - Here we are heading to work and looking a bit too cheery for this time of the day.

7:00am - Stopping at AJ's for some breakfast. It was a very nice morning. I think the high temp today was 75 degrees. Too bad we were stuck in the office today.

8:ooam - The LOML wearing the mask that one of the supervisor brought in for the department to wear as there seems to be alot of sickly folks. BTW, he was the only one wearing it! : )

4:00pm - Running to our local CVS for a quick errand on our way home from work.

4:20pm - Making our way to the car...next stop is the grocery store.

4:25pm - Something stinky dog tailed into the car...whew!

4:30pm - Awww, holding hands walking into the grocery store.

7:00pm - Working on getting our Save the Date cards in the mail.

7:30pm - Addressing the envelopes

8:00pm- The LOML getting ready to watch two of our favorite shows Big Brother 9 and Jericho (it was the season premiere for both shows).
8:10pm - Big Brother 9...should be quite an interesting season but it's a bit odd to have it on in the winter/spring.

9:05pm - The start of Jericho- Yay!!!

Walking across Arizona

Well, not really but I am walking the miles it would take to trek across Arizona. It's a 16 week program by the University of Arizona to promote a healthy lifestyle. A friend, my mom and couple of other gals formed a team and we have to at least walk 1 mile a day. It's a great way to keep me motivated to walk away pounds especially when I have a wedding in little less than a year away! Click here to find out more about the program.

Happy B-Day John!

First things first...a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my future brother-in-law John! I hope you enjoyed your day.

I just got back from a week of client meetings in Puerto Rico. I do enjoy visting PR but it sure is a long trip back and forth. Typically I travel through Dallas and then on to PR however on the way back from PR, I had to travel thru O'Hare and then on to Phx. The flight to O'Hare was about an hour longer than to Dallas. No fun! At O'Hare we sat on the plane at the gate due to a technical problems and it was 10 degrees out. I didn't have a warm jacket with me after all I was traveling to PR and AZ. Needless to say I hope to not have to take the Chicago route to/from PR in the future as it seems that I will be traveling there every 6 mos.

I'm happy to report the LOML is down 62 lbs since his WLS (weightloss surgery). He is looking and feeling so good. Click here to see his blog. Congrats babe!!!

Oh, and here's a clip of me teaching him how to update his blog. (I was also playing with the video feature on my camera).

12 of 12 (3): January 2008

It's a new year and I actually remember to charge my camera battery to bring with me while I ran errands with my Mom and my nephew Shane. Here's my 12 of 12 for January...

11:30AM - Waiting for my Mom to pick me up so we can go to lunch and then shop at the Mad Scrapper (scrapbooking store) for some cardstock to make my Save-The-Date cards.
11:45 AM - Mom and Shane picking me up for our errand run. The LOML saying "Hi" and giving Shane the talk to behave himself or he'd get noogie.

11:45 AM - Shane laughing at the LOML. (Noogie? Yeah right!)

12:00 PM - Lunch at On The Border with Shane and Grandma in front of the restaurant.

12:30 PM - Shane wanted his picture taken in front of the cactus.

12:45 PM - Shane at The Mad Scrapper. He came running around the corner holding up a camera die cut saying this was for me. Mom commenting how appropriate that was for me. I couldn't agree more!

1:30 PM - Mom and I dropped Shane off with the LOML because he was a bit bored shopping with us so we could head over to Recollections. They are closing their stores (major bummer!) and we wanted to check out the sale items.

2:45 PM - Watching Green Bay Packers game with the LOML. Check out that snow!

5:15 PM - The LOML driving us to Costco. He's wearing his new Notre Dame cap that I got him for his birthday.

6:00 PM - Yep, it's me getting into the car after our shopping at Costco.

6:00 PM - The LOML returning the cart. We got a kick out of this photo because his clothes are way to big for him now! You rock babe!

8:30 PM - I'm playing Mystery Case a game that my boss gave me to download. I'm a little hooked on finding who did it.
